House Cadillac

While the pink Cadillac was once displayed outside Ann's Chicken Fry House, General Motors bought it for $4.5 million in 1909. By then, the car had already become a global sensation. It's the fastest V8 sedan, and it set a record at the Norburgring testing track. It was also the first bulletproof limo in history, as Al Capone's 1928 sedan was fully armored for security.

Located in the heart of New York, Cadillac House is the physical embodiment of its luxury brand. It is an interactive environment, and the designers at Gensler collaborated to create a space that would appeal to the city's younger creative tastemakers. The building's architecture is reminiscent of an open space, and its technology integrates with the brand's design language. Upon entering the building, visitors are greeted by a colonnade of glass and a mirror. A grand staircase leads up to a brand wall, which features a runway populated with luxury cars.

The new digs are located on the ground floor of the company's global headquarters in New York City. While the headquarters building is home to Cadillac's global headquarters, it's a place for the automaker to celebrate the brand's rich cultural heritage. The Cadillac House will serve as a curated space for events, vehicle exhibitions, and collaborative projects with pioneering organizations and businesses. When it opens to the public, the House will include a retail lab. The House will open on June 2, 2016, and be open for business from 7am to 7pm ET Monday through Friday, and 10am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday.

House Cadillac is a four-story building with commercial space on the first floor, and rental units above. The building has a fully functional service department.
