Jim Lupient started his career at the dealership when he was sixteen years old. He worked part-time at an Oldsmobile dealership in northeast Minneapolis. Several years later, his father passed away, and he returned to his job full-time. His family asked him to man the store for their wedding, and he sold five cars and became a salesman. He eventually built up his Lupient Automotive Group, which included Lupient Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, and several other automotive brands. In fact, he was the only dealership in the country to win both awards in the same year!
